Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. She later resigned her professional career to become a fashion model. Padukone is born in Mangalorean background, and her mother tongue is Konkani. Her ancestors hail from the village Padukone in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend before retiring in the late 1980s. She has a mother who runs who worked for a travel agency also comes from the village.
